Finding the door
229 Một Tháng Tư, Cát Bà, Hải Phòng
Opening hours online do not agree: Maps says 08:00–22:00, Tripadvisor says 10:00–22:00, HappyCow says closed in the middle of the day. A guest who came at noon on a Friday found the venue closed, so call ahead on 033 586 9688 (the venue's fanpage). The venue's fanpage itself states it takes table bookings, online orders, takeaway and delivery. Paying by card may incur a surcharge: HappyCow records 3% in May 2025, and one review of 20 Sep 2026 complains of a fee not listed on the menu.

Where you sit, who to bring
Many foreign guests come, and the staff speak English. The room is small, so it suits groups of 2–4. A small venue with just a few tables. There is an air-conditioned room and a covered outdoor porch. The dining tables are made from old sewing-machine bases, the walls carry paintings that a guest says were designed by the owner herself, and at the back of the room is a wooden bar with a shelf of infused liquors.

Source
The identity and the address 229 Một Tháng Tư match across the restaurant's Facebook fanpage (opened in a browser on 15 Oct 2026), the Google Maps profile, Tripadvisor and HappyCow. The phone number is the same in all four sources. Evidence that the restaurant is still open is a fanpage post from around 10 Oct 2026, a Google Maps review from around 12 Oct 2026 and a HappyCow review of 20 Sep 2026. The price tier comes from the ‘price per person’ field of 100–200 thousand dong that 3 customers selected on Google Maps (2025–2026). The poke price comes from a Maps review of around May 2026; three authors give the same 180 thousand for salmon poke over about two years. The juice price comes from a HappyCow review of 27 Jul 2026. The space, music, bar counter, sewing-machine tables and paintings are compiled from 700 Google Maps reviews read verbatim on 15 Oct 2026, excluding one review that was boilerplate with blanks still in it and two reviews that duplicated each other word for word. The vegetarian section comes from HappyCow (16 Sep 2026). Tripadvisor's label ‘Vietnamese cuisine’ was rejected because it is a label assigned by the aggregator, not claimed by the restaurant. Dish prices read from menu photos taken by customers are not used, because they cannot be re-checked in text and some are out of date. Opening hours are not recorded because the four sources give four different time windows. The description by vietnamtourism.com was rejected because it contradicts every other source on address, hours and dishes. Photos are taken from the restaurant's Google Maps album, under the experimental exception for photo sources.
