What people order
People seek it out for a change of flavour after many seafood meals on the island, grilling fresh beef themselves under the shade of the trees. Many also come for the pot of beef porridge that the restaurant often gives free when you order a lot of meat (Google Maps reviews, 2024–Jun 2026; the printed menu has the line 'Tặng thêm cháo bò' (free extra beef porridge), photo Jul 2026).

Where you sit, who to bring
Customers include both island residents and tourists. Lunchtime and weekends are the busiest, with diners seated close together at long tables. The restaurant suits groups of 3 or more, and families with small children because there is a wide sand yard for children to play in. A hot-beef restaurant in garden-house style, at the end of a small alley near Tam Thanh market on Phú Quý island. Plastic tables and chairs are set out in rows under a tin roof, around a wide dirt yard under the shade of trees; there are fans but no air conditioning. At least 7 reviewers on Google Maps describe it this way. The restaurant has been selling bò nóng since at least Dec 2015.

Before you come
Thôn Mỹ Khê, đặc khu Phú Quý, tỉnh Lâm Đồng
Go early at lunchtime. The beef is only sold on the day: someone who arrived near 13:00 found quite a few dishes already gone, and the free pot of porridge usually runs out before evening. For two people, order only about half a kilo. At midday avoid the tables under the tin roof because of the heat; in the evening the restaurant is poorly lit and has mosquitoes. Opening hours cannot be confirmed: Google Maps and several 2026 travel pages say 10:00–22:00, while Dân Việt in 2024 says 6:00–18:00, so call the restaurant before going. The grounds have a large motorbike parking area, free of charge. Many reviewers advise booking a table in advance, especially at weekends and on public holidays. The number 0902 560 206 is printed on the sign at the head of the alley and on the restaurant's menu.

Dining options
- The two main dishes are grilled beef, which customers grill themselves on a charcoal stove placed right at the table, and beef dipped in vinegar broth and rolled in rice paper. The restaurant also has beef stir-fried with lemongrass and chilli, and beef porridge. The beef is slaughtered and sold on the same day, priced by weight. Around Sep 2025, four reviewers noted a price of about 350,000 VND/kg, with each way of cooking requiring a minimum of 4–5 lạng (400–500 g). Rice paper, the vinegar pot, vermicelli and herbs are charged separately, about 20,000 VND each.

Information about Bò nóng Hòa Thướng was collected and re-checked over two days, 27 and 28 Sep 2026. The restaurant's name follows its own printed menu and signboard (via customer photos from 2025–2026), and matches Báo Dân Việt (12 Aug 2024), Dân trí (26 Apr 2026) and the blog Tùng XíchLô (3 Dec 2015). The restaurant's Google Maps profile names it 'Bò Nướng Hoà Thướng'. The pin position, the type of place and the price range of 100,000–200,000 VND per person come from the Google Maps profile. The phone number was cross-checked against Gody (30 Apr 2023), Riviu, the sign at the head of the alley and the menu. Mỹ Khê hamlet comes from the Lữ hành Việt Nam site (23 Mar 2026) and Đất Việt Tour; the address is not converted to the new administrative level. The main dish comes from Báo Dân Việt and Dân trí. The setting, the busy times, selling by weight, the price of about 350,000 VND/kg, the surcharge for side dishes and selling out early come from 555 reviews on Google Maps. The date of each review is converted from the relative way Maps records it, so it is only an estimate. That customers grill for themselves and that the beef is slaughtered the same day have further sources in a 2015 blog and Báo Bình Thuận in 2018. The brand has two outlets on the island, sharing one phone number. This page is about the outlet at the pin GW7W+C7; the other outlet lies about 1 km to the north. Not used: the opening hours 6:00–18:00 from Báo Dân Việt, because that is a chain copied from 2019 pages and is contradicted by dinner reviews. The hours 10:00–22:00 on Maps are also unconfirmed, because nobody has seen the restaurant open until that time, while it closes once it sells out. The price of 375,000 VND/kg is reported by only one person. Dishes such as lemongrass-stewed beef or stewed beef ribs have only one review or an old article. The claim of karaoke dates from three years ago. A page that reposted old content with 2018 prices was also rejected. The photos are customer photos posted on Google Maps, used during the trial period, and carry the photographer's name.
