How ranking works
Only contributions a reviewer accepts earn points. Points are for creators to see where they stand — public pages show the tier and what they gave, never the number.
Points per accepted contribution
Counted when a reviewer accepts it; if a contribution is taken down, its points come off again.
| A photo accepted | +3 |
|---|---|
| A photo chosen as the place's cover | +5 |
| A field note accepted | +4 |
| A collection made public | +10 |
| Someone else saves your collection | +1 |
| A creator itinerary made public | +6 |
| Someone else copies your itinerary | +1 |
| A contribution removed after a report | -10 |
Not counted
- More than 10 photos of the same place in one month.
- Saves and copies from accounts less than 7 days old.
- Saving your own collection or copying your own itinerary.
- Anything still in review or not accepted.
Top 3 per region, per month
When a month ends, the three people with the most points in each region keep a halo around their tier emblem for the next month.
When a region gets a board
A region (a destination or a city) opens its board at 3 creators. Before that, contributions are still accepted and still earn points; they just aren't ranked.
Vietlume picks
Each month the editors pick up to three creators, each with one sentence saying why — a cover photo, a note that saved the next traveller. Picks don't depend on points.
Five tiers
Moving up needs enough points and the tier's conditions; each tier has three grades, III, II and I.
