Where you sit, who to bring
Four private rooms seat 8, 10, 12 and 26 people respectively, and the restaurant does not take whole-venue bookings. This is the only detail about the space confirmed by two different tiers of source. Total capacity and the number of floors are described three different ways by three sources — 100, 119 and 120 guests; '1 floor' against '4 separate floors' within the same page — so they are not stated. A Japanese restaurant run by Japanese people; the sign outside reads 「やんちゃ / YANCHA -SINCE 2010- / JAPANESE RESTAURANT / 579 KIM MA」 (facade photo on PasGo). The ground floor has a long izakaya-style counter with a bottle-keep shelf above it — bottles standing in a row, each tied with a red string tag — and seats facing the chef making sushi right in front of you; the dining nooks are separated by vertical wooden partitions and bamboo-slat curtains. One of the private rooms has a full-height glass wall looking straight out over the lake (photo on the PATO booking page) — a view that the branch at 121 Triệu Việt Vương, set in a solid row of buildings along the street, cannot have. The core is grilled izakaya food and seafood: grilled buri yellowtail collar, dishes grilled at the table, Japanese oyster hotpot, spicy tantanmen noodles, pan-seared American beef short ribs, Yancha California roll. Japanese-language sources add sashimi, Japanese-style rice dishes, grilled mackerel, rolled omelette and soba noodles (gurutto-vietnam). The one thing found only here is the restaurant's signature shochu — the POSTE page writes that this is a specialty you can only taste on site, and that some guests come specifically for it. Menu prices exclude VAT. PasGo marks the restaurant as NOT having a lunch set, but another Japanese-language source suggests the opposite and could not be opened, so this point remains open.
Getting there
579 P. Kim Mã, Hà Nội
Open all seven days, with no day off in the week; a lunch session 11:30–14:00 and an evening session starting at 17:30. Sources split into two camps on the evening closing time, 22:00 and 23:00, and neither camp wins, so this page deliberately does not show a weekly schedule. A more useful time to remember than closing time: the kitchen takes last orders for food at 21:50 and for drinks at 22:30 — if you sit down after 21:50 the door is still open but the kitchen may already have stopped. No official source confirms that this branch has still been operating since 2017, so call 024-3724-7008 before you go.
The restaurant's signature shochu, grilled dishes cooked at the table, and private rooms for groups — the three things mentioned most often by multiple independent sources. Dinner is given by the Japanese-language outlet Vietnam Sketch as from 300,000 VND per person upward, excluding VAT and service charge, according to the survey in Oct 2024 — the only price level in the entire file that has a date attached to it.
Takes advance table reservations on 024-3724-7008 — the Kim Mã branch's own number, different from the 024-3974-8437 of the 121 Triệu Việt Vương branch. Payment by Visa/Master card is accepted and VAT invoices can be issued. The restaurant does not allow outside food and charges a fee for outside drinks; no source gives a dated amount for the fee, so it is not stated. Car parking: three sources give three conflicting answers, so that is not stated either.

Source
This record was collected, reviewed and scored on 9 Sep 2026. The best source of the whole run is Vietnam Sketch — a Japanese-language newspaper in Hà Nội — in a post dated 1 Dec 2024, which states that its information was gathered on a survey visit in Oct 2024; from it come the two-shift hours, the last-order times of 21:50 and 22:30, the four private rooms for 8, 10, 12 and 26 people, the fact that the whole restaurant cannot be hired, the phone number, and the dinner price from 300,000 VND per person before VAT. The signature dishes, amenities, the rules on bringing in outside food and drink, and the payment methods come from the PasGo booking page, which states its own update date of 26 Jun 2020 and so must be read as 2020 data. The details about the house-special shochu and the restaurant being run by Japanese people come from the Japanese-language directory page POSTE. The numbering of the two branches comes from the brand's own blog, where 121 Triệu Việt Vương is called 「やんちゃ本店」 — the main store — and this place is 「やんちゃKimMa店」; that blog has not been updated since 2017, so it is used only for the names and for the brand's founding year of 2010, not as evidence that the restaurant is still operating. The coordinates come from an open-map data node that carries the house number 579, the street name Kim Mã and the restaurant's phone number at the same time, then matched to within about five metres against the coordinates in Foody's data. Photos come from PasGo, PATO, hanoidep, sluurpy and gurutto-vietnam; none has an open licence, and this page claims no rights to any of them. WHAT WAS REJECTED AND WHY: the price range of 200,000–500,000 VND per person looks confirmed by three sources, but two of the three match each other exactly and none carries a date, so it is not used to settle anything — only Vietnam Sketch's dated figure is stated, along with its exact age. A page listing "from about 300,000 VND per DISH" was rejected because the same article gets the house number of another restaurant on the same street wrong. The corkage fees of 320,000 VND and 450,000 VND, and the figure "VAT 10%", were rejected because the only page stating them carries no date. An SEO article posted on 21 Dec 2025 about this very address was excluded from every fact because its body still contains the template's placeholder strings, a sign of auto-generated content. A domain that was once the restaurant's introduction site now returns gambling content and was dropped entirely. An aggregator page lists the restaurant's phone number as that platform's own switchboard, not the restaurant's line. The district level and the old ward name that every source still lists were both cut from the address because those units were abolished from 1 Jul 2025, and no state source maps house number 579 to the new unit, so that part is left blank. Ratings and review counts on the platforms are deliberately not collected.
